~Raku~

Raku A firing technique in which pots are quickly heated to 1920 degrees, removed from the kiln while they are still hot and the glaze is molten, and placed in a metal container filled with combustible materials. The pots are allowed to smoke and smolder for approximately 20 minutes before being removed and cooled. This type of pottery is for decorative use only.
